Man Claims To Have Spotted Tupac ‘Living In Somalia’

There are some rumours that will never die. More accurately, there are rumours about people who died that will never die.

Among these dead-not-deads, Tupac Shakur is king.

The superstar rapper’s surprisingly explicable death hasn’t stopped an entire cottage industry forming around his supposed continuance, and, conveniently timed to coincide with the release of a documentary about his life, another Shakur sighting has been recorded: this time, in Somalia.

Tupac has apparently been living in the wartorn East African country of Somalia, along with his long-time companion and fellow rapper Kadafi.

“I’ve seen Tupac and Kadafi way after their said deaths – in Somalia,” wrote as online conspiracy theorist using the username suldaan_mahdi, reports the Daily Star.

“I’ve seen them both alive. I was in a car and they were heading in the other direction. Kadafi was doing some kind of hand signals – he looked kind of funky. I saw them alive way after their said deaths.”

Of course, seeing someone in a car going the other way is about as clear and confirmed a sighting as can be. Presumably Elvis, the Loch Ness Monster and Shergar were in the back seats behind Tupac and Kadafi.

Naturally, the internet was quick to jump on Mr Mahdi’s hallucinations. They corresponded quite conveniently with another theory that had been doing the Twitter rounds over the weekend, based on the comments of former Death Row Records head Suge Knight.

“In a 2012 interview with Suge Knight, the man in the car in the last photo of Tupac, he stated that he paid the man who ‘cremated’ Tupac $3 million dollars personally;” went the story.

“He then goes onto say that after his cremation, he never heard from that guy ever again. He also hinted at the fact that Tupac was still alive. He questions why the man who committed his murder was never arrested. Suge knows of Tupac’s whereabouts.”

Of course, one can’t mention the easily explainable death of Tupac – shot dead on the Las Vegas strip after a Mike Tyson fight – without bringing up that of his long-time rival Christopher Wallace, aka Biggie Smalls.

“In Tupac’s ‘God Bless the Dead,’ he says in the beginning of the song ‘rest in peace to my mother f** Biggie Smalls,” wrote a user called Dan on Twitter.

“Why would he say this if Tupac was supposedly murdered 6 months prior to Biggie Smalls? Suge Knight was interviewed once again in 2014. This time he stated that Tupac is alive. He straight up said that he is alive and that he’s ‘out in the islands smoking a Cuban cigar’.”
